The sentence that I chose is
"It's hard to have a sister who is perfect."
I chose this sentence because i thought it said a lot about the character. It says that she really doesn't think very highly of herself. It seems that she thinks that her sister is better than her and her parents love Aisha, her sister, more than they love her. I think that would be a terrible feeling to think your parents love your sister more than you and that she is better than you. I think this is probably something she has struggled with most of her life and probably for the rest of the book.

I totally agree! It seems that her parent's obsession with her sister's achievements have definitely caused her self-esteem to plummet. Excellent point! I now feel like I can understand her feelings more in depth.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Her parents seem to focus more on Aisha than her. They give Nadira no positive attention. I don't think it's fair to her. Great points. Great (b)log.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with wat you said. It does show personality. :)
